It’s a good housing place if you’re not wanting to move in your personal furniture. It’s a 10 minute walk to campus. The sizing is pretty nice. I recommend finding friends to move in with.
Living at Sterling was a delightful experience. The management and team were both highly professional and kind, making my stay enjoyable with their excellent hospitality. The management consistently demonstrated their commitment to assisting residents promptly. I highly recommend it!
literally the worst apartment to ever live in. firstly, you have to pay a $300 trash fee at the beginning of your lease which promises they come to pick up your trash every night. That’s definitely not the case. The trash will sit in the halls for days making the already DISGUSTING hallways smell even worse. There is 10 parking spots for guest parking in a building that can house up to 3000 people so if you ever plan on having company at all, just don’t. I know multiple residents who have complained about this issue and the managers basically tell every one it’s not there problem. My mom drove over 7 hours to come see me for the day and her car was towed. It makes no sense that there is no solution for this, especally when it is a continuous problem for the residents and there could be a simple fix. The elevator has been broken for over 2 years and has never been fixed. There is never a manager in the office at any time and if you have any complaint at all they don’t not care. my roommate called the corporate office after speaking with the office manager about a situation and was told “if you don’t like the rules you can move out”. These people do not care about their residents at all. Worst living experience of my life. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
I recently had the misfortune of residing at [Apartment Complex Name], and I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with my overall experience. From the start, it was clear that this place was nothing short of a nightmare.
First and foremost, the management at [Apartment Complex Name] seemed to have a knack for inventing random fees. To add insult to injury, I was charged for a full repainting and cleaning service after vacating the apartment, despite leaving it in impeccable condition. It's beyond comprehension how such unwarranted charges can be justified.
The issue with cleanliness extended beyond my individual unit. Despite multiple requests to address the matter, dog poop continued to plague the common areas. It's disheartening to see a blatant disregard for basic hygiene and the well-being of residents. It appears that the management's promises to maintain a clean environment are nothing more than empty words.
Furthermore, my interactions with the staff were less than satisfactory. It's disappointing to note that they seemed more interested in personal agendas than fulfilling their job responsibilities. Labeling them as "liberal blacks" is not only irrelevant but also inappropriate. A diverse and inclusive community should be a priority for any housing establishment, and discriminatory remarks have no place in a review.
In summary, my time at [Apartment Complex Name] was a regrettable experience marked by unexplained charges, subpar cleanliness, and unprofessional staff. I would strongly advise anyone considering this complex to explore other options unless they have a penchant for unnecessary expenses, unclean living spaces, and unprofessional management.
Room itself is nice despite finding a few cat hairs under some of the furniture. Residents are loud and the rules on noise are a joke. Haven't gotten a good nights rest with how late they blast their stereos that shake the floor beneath me. The halls are dirty and smell funny and I question the security with how some of the doors leading inside are left slightly wedged open. It looks nice on the surface level until you actually start living here and start seeing how ugly it is underneath.
My dad got me a new bike to move around the school because I don’t have a car and I used to park my bike at the garage of the apartments on my same floor because it was more safe, then they started closing the gates and I requested a key to open them and even offer to pay for the key every month like if it was a car. The manager was very rude and told me to start parking it at the front office and two weeks after parking my bike at the front, my bike got stolen even if it was locked with a cable. I went to the office and I asked for footage and they told me I needed a police report. After make a police report the same day they refused to show me footage and they said they were going to wait until the police call after give them the case number. After two weeks I made a feedback about it and they say that they never got the police case number knowing that they made me do it the same day. After a few months I called to ask for an update and the police told me they told him that the videos got deleted after 7days!
It was very strange. They also refused to pay for it even if I was paying for my insurance at the apartment because they say it covers everything but not the bike.
The outside of the apartments are very gross, they told you a certain amount but with the months they start charging for extra stuff that doesn’t even make sense! I used to pay 645 and then they started to increasing it to almost 800 no matter if I was paying on the requested days.
The outside it’s very gross and they don’t pick up trash daily. The hallways always smell gross and there is always poop or pee at the elevators.
I will recommend The armory
Let me save you the trouble and drama… DO NOT move here! Absolutely the worst 2 years of my life… they lied about utilities being a set amount and it ended up being almost half of my initial rent…. It’s dirty, mold growing everywhere, and the amenities never work. Management is horrible, they switch out managers every month and the employees are super rude over the phone and not helpful at all… it got to the point where I was basically living at home because I hated being there. Sterling does a good job of roping people in making it seem like it’s a good place to live but it is NOT. biggest waste of my money and time.
I moved in towards the end of July 2022 with 4 other girls, one of which was living there before us. We didn’t know our living arrangements or roommate situation until late June/early July. The move-in day was completely unorganized. It …
